Key questions on how modern technology can facilitate work in the field, in livestock farming and in orchards, while simultaneously increasing the competitiveness of domestic agricultural production, were discussed at a workshop held in Travnik as part of the international CROSSMART project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop was organised by the Office for European Integration, Funds, Public Relations and Quality Management in accordance with international standards of the Central Bosnia Canton (SBK\/KSB) and brought together farmers and other stakeholders from the agricultural sector from across the Canton. Through practical examples and open discussion, participants had the opportunity to learn about the benefits and possibilities of agricultural digitalisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop lecturer was Ivica Sivri\u0107, Director of the Association for Economic Development REDAH, a project partner responsible for implementing educational activities within the CROSSMART project. The presentation focused on the application of modern equipment and digital tools in production planning, crop monitoring and the overall improvement of agricultural business operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Special emphasis was placed on the practical application of new technologies, conveying the message that digital agriculture is no longer a vision of the future, but a reality that is becoming increasingly accessible to local producers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main objective of the CROSSMART project is to develop and enhance the innovative capacities of farmers, as well as to improve access to advanced technologies. This is achieved through the procurement of equipment for agricultural digitalisation, making it available to end users, and organising training activities aimed at the effective use of equipment and further business development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An important component of the project is the establishment of the CROSSMARTplatform, which will contribute to the digitalisation of agriculture and the development of guidelines for smart agriculture in the Central Bosnia Canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop in Travnik demonstrated that there is strong interest among farmers in acquiring new knowledge and innovations, as well as a clear need for continuous professional support. Projects such as CROSSMART create a bridge between traditional agricultural production and modern technologies, with the goal of strengthening the sustainability, efficiency and competitiveness of agriculture at both local and regional levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The CROSSMART project is funded through the Interreg IPA Croatia \u2013 Bosnia and Herzegovina \u2013 Montenegro Programme and includes six partners: the Centre for Entrepreneurship of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County (lead partner), the Municipality of Konavle, the Office for European Integration of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Municipality of Tuzi, the University of Zagreb \u2013 Faculty of Agriculture, and the Association for Economic Development REDAH.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
