As part of the CROSSMART project, a new workshop for municipal and cantonal advisory services in the field of agriculture was held in Travnik on February 26, 2026. The training took place at the Ex Ponto restaurant, and the event was organized by the Office for European Integration, Funds, Public Relations, and Quality according to the international SBK\/KSB standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop brought together professional associates and agricultural advisors from the Central Bosnia Canton and municipalities, with the aim of further strengthening institutional capacities in the process of digitization and modernization of the agricultural sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lecturer at the workshop was Mr. Ivica Sivri\u0107, Director of the Association for Economic Development REDAH, a partner in the CROSSMART project responsible for implementing educational activities. During the presentation, modern concepts of innovative and precision agriculture were discussed, along with practical tools available to users in the Central Bosnia Canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A special segment of the workshop was dedicated to presenting equipment and digital tools developed and procured through the project, including agrometeorological stations, the project website and digital platform, as well as the use of the CROSSMART application developed within the project. This application enables more efficient production planning, crop monitoring, record keeping, and data analysis, providing practical support to farmers and advisory services in their daily work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The goal of the CROSSMART project is to develop and enhance the innovation capacities of farmers and improve their access to advanced technologies through the procurement of agricultural digitization equipment and its availability to end users. The project also includes organizing training for equipment use and further business development, as well as establishing the CROSSMART platform, which contributes to agricultural digitization and the creation of guidelines for smart agriculture development in the canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These activities demonstrate the commitment of institutions and project partners to provide advisory services\u2014and indirectly farmers\u2014with the knowledge and tools necessary for a more competitive, sustainable, and technologically advanced agricultural production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The project is funded through the Interreg IPA Croatia \u2013 Bosnia and Herzegovina \u2013 Montenegro program and involves six partners: the Center for Entrepreneurship of Dubrovnik-Neretva County as the lead partner, the Municipality of Konavle, the Office for European Integration of the Central Bosnia Canton, the Municipality of Tuzi, the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Zagreb, and the Association for Economic Development REDAH.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
