A workshop titled \u201cStrategic Approaches to the Modernisation of Agriculture and Rural Development in SBK\/KSB: Institutional Models and Examples of Good Practice\u201d was held yesterday in Travnik as part of the CROSSMART cross-border cooperation project. The event was organised by the Office for European Integration, Funds, Public Relations and Quality Management according to the International Standard of SBK\/KSB, and gathered representatives of cantonal and municipal administrations, experts, and other stakeholders involved in the development of agriculture and rural areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop took place at Ex Ponto \u2013 Place of Encounter in Travnik, and the lecture was delivered by Mr Ivica Sivri\u0107, Director of the Association for Economic Development REDAH, a partner organisation responsible for implementing educational activities within the project. Through presentations and discussion, particular emphasis was placed on examples of good practice from Bosnia and Herzegovina and neighbouring countries, as well as on various institutional models that can contribute to a more efficient development of the agricultural sector and rural communities. The focus of the workshop was to review existing successful solutions and experiences that could serve as guidelines for the establishment of a Rural Development Centre, whose creation is currently being considered in the Central Bosnia Canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the open discussion, participants exchanged opinions and proposals regarding possible models for establishing the Rural Development Centre in SBK\/KSB. The discussion resulted in a number of conclusions and recommendations that may serve as a basis for further planning, defining the role, and future activities of the Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The aim of the CROSSMART project is to develop and enhance the innovation capacities of farmers and improve their access to advanced technologies through the procurement of equipment for the digitalisation of agriculture and making it available to end users. The project also includes the organisation of training programmes for farmers and professional services, as well as the establishment of the CROSSMART platform, which contributes to the digitalisation of the sector and the development of guidelines for smart agriculture in the Central Bosnia Canton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
